Tuttnauer's 2540m autoclave is a manually operated steam sterilizer. Manual means that it is operated by dials on the front of the machine instead of being electronically, or computer, automated. Manual autoclaves are generally less expensive than the automated versions.<br><br>In terms of Tuttnauer sterilizers, it is on the small side with only the 1730 Valueklave and 2340 being smaller for table top use.<br><br>This machine is widely used by dental offices, surgical offices, tattoo shops, and anywhere that instruments need to be sterilized.<br><br>Check out the links on the slides for more details. Tuttnauer 2540M vs. KM Version • 2540M also comes in a 2540KM “Kwiklave” model. • The KM model heats up faster for a quicker instrument turn around. • This machine requires the higher 220 - 235 voltages, so ask an electrician about a transformer or other modifications you might need for your office.
