Give time to new asphalt to cure You can drive on asphalt once it is dry – 24 hours after pouring is usually navigated, but it is important, new pavement needs some more time to reach its potential strength also requires time to develop a defense mechanism against damage until it is complete. Do not ignore small cracks or holes which can be enlarged as time progresses, have a regular inspection to identify the new cracks or small holes which can be sealed with good quality sealant, and patching of holes should be done immediately.
