  2. THE BEGINNING Choosingtolong-termvolunteerintheEuropeanSolidarity Corpswasoneofthemostobviousdecisionsinmylife. Aftergraduatingfromuniversity, Istartedmyadventureby traveling, firstIwasavolunteerinPolandandtheninSpain asashort-termvolunteer. Beingabletospendafewmonths inGreeceworkinginanofficeseemedtobeperfectforme.

ORFEAS ORGANIZATION ThemaingoalofOrfeasOrganizationistoorganizeand supportnationalprogramsofthepartnermunicipalities, heritageprotectionactivitiesoftheenvironment, and organizingsummerevents, festivals, concerts, theatrical performances, andexhibitionsincooperationwiththelocal municipalities. XYLOKASTRO TheseatofOrfeasOrganizationislocated inXylokastroinnorthPeloponessein Greece. Xylokastroisasmalltownwith accesstoKorinthGulf, beaches, forest, andbreathtakinglandscapesaround.

MY ACTIVITIES IN ORFEAS ORGANIZATION Asavolunteerintheoffice, Ihadtoopportunity toparticipateincoordinationandsupportingallour volunteersandactivitiespreparedbyourorganization. co-runningsocialmedia editinge-magazineOrfeas co-organizationtheworkshops co-organizationEnglishclasses supportinglongandshorttermvolunteers officeworkrelatedtotheorganizationofvolunteers

  5. RECYCLING WORKSHOPS Mybiggestprojectwastheorganizationofrecyclingworkshopsforkidsfromprimaryschool. Iwas responsibleformakingtheplanandcoordinatingvolunteerswiththepreparationofallmaterials. Then weorganizeaseriesofworkshopsintheforestinXylokastro. Themaingoaloftheworkshopistolearnhowtosortrubbishandtoshowthatitisnotdifficult. To maketheworkshopsasinterestingaspossible, wehavepreparedalotofactivitiesforstudents, for examplerecyclingbingoorclimatepuzzles.

  6. EUROPE DAY All-dayeventforadultsandkidsfrom Xylokastro. Wepreparedtwomainsections: the firstonewithgamesandactivitiesforchildren, andthesecondoneinformingaboutEuropean countries, especiallythosefromwhichour volunteerscome.

  7. ENGLISH WORKSHOPS LearningEnglishinpractice, preparingworkshops onatopicrelatedtoenvironmentalprotection

  8. Togetherwithkidswelookedfortheanswerstothequestions: whatdoesitmeantobeavolunteer? whocanbecomeavolunteer? whataretheadvantagesofvoluntaryworkforthevolunteer andtheenvironment? VOLUNTEERING WORKSHOPS

  9. EDITING AND WRITING THE ARTICLES TO E-MAGAZINE ORFEAS Iwasalsoinvolvedineditinge-magazine. Iwasinchargeofdesignandcoordination ofvolunteerswritingarticles. Ialsowrote4articlestoe-magazine.
