I embrace this day and the opportunities that it contains. I share my love with my family and friends. I show kindness to animals, too. I pet my dog and fill my birdfeeder in the backyard. I start out with a few moments of meditation. I remind myself of my priorities. I consider the meaning of my life and how to use that sense of purpose to guide the decisions that I make today. I use my free time constructively. I turn off the TV so I can read a book or practice playing the piano. I make healthy choices that protect my body and mind. I eat nutritious, whole foods, and visit the gym after work. I take breaks throughout the day to stretch my muscles and calm my thoughts. Today, I celebrate the 24 hours that have been given to me. I treat them as a precious gift that I can use to enrich my life and share my joy with others. I focus on what I can do to learn and grow. Self-Reflection Questions: 1. What can I do to make today special? I view my morning commute with fresh eyes. Instead of grumbling about traffic, I enjoy the scenery. I notice a new restaurant that I want to check out. I admire my neighbor’s lush green lawn. 2. What am I grateful for today? 3. How would I describe my 3 top priorities for today? I radiate enthusiasm around my workplace. I pitch in when my colleagues are scrambling to meet a tight deadline. I listen attentively 1 Visit ThinkBrilliantly.com for more free resources on how positive thought & action can help you transform YOUR life! My life is filled with endless blessings because I embrace affirmative thinking and intentionally bring goodness my way. Today, I am committed to reaffirming how worthy I am of the good things in life. I know that I open myself to great things when I maintain such a positive mindset. I bring many successes to fruition by speaking them into being. Believing that I am destined for greatness is half the battle. When I express that belief continuously, I feel motivated to put plans in place. I am energetic in my efforts because I know the results are based on my input. I avoid worrying about the outcome of challenging situations. Self-Reflection Questions: 1. What are some of the self-motivating things I say when I need encouragement? 2. How is my confidence impacted when I am unable to achieve a goal? Each day I set expectations for positivity. I know that putting out good vibes into the world results in them coming back to me. 3. How helpful is positive thinking when external factors seem overbearing? When my kids are studying for exams, I encourage them to have calm spirits. Letting go of worry helps them to open their minds to learn. I use those special moments to tell them that success is theirs for the taking. I take the same approach with goals I set for myself. I can only reach as far as I allow my feet to take me. Each important target I set is within reach because I am motivated to take that first step. Today, I know I have what it takes to take the first step. My decision to move forward into a challenge is a good one for my quest to accomplish greatness. I avoid procrastination. It limits my ability to achieve true success. The present moment holds the greatest value for me. Self-Reflection Questions: 1. What are some of the things that cause me to hesitate to go after goals? I know that making a move is all it takes to get the ball rolling. Even when I am unable to hit the goal in the desired time, the first steps mean that I am on the right path. I avoid feeling discouraged and, instead, concentrate on doing things in stages. 2. How do I know when a particular target may be unsuitable for me? 3. How realistic am I when setting goals for myself? Small successes encourage me to keep going. Once I am able to make the first step successfully, I feel confident in my ability to take the next one. Instead of looking at the long road ahead, I look at the next spot for me to place my feet. I love the energized feeling I get when I push myself to start on a journey. Sometimes, I take life too seriously. I commit myself to my work, family, and friends. I find myself wound tight, in need of relief. When I perceive life as a game, my work becomes play. I believe having a playful attitude toward life is beneficial. Today, I choose to play. As long as I am willing to participate, I avail myself of the opportunity to succeed. In my life, loss can only result from refusing to participate. When viewing life as a game, each choice I make becomes a move. Self-Reflection Questions: 1. What is the process of identifying the ‘rules’ of life? Typically, I make forward progress, but a chance roll of the dice can sometimes result in moving backward. I take this in stride, knowing that another chance to advance always comes soon enough. 2. How do I overcome the challenges and setbacks? 3. How do I measure success? When I perceive life as a game of strategy, I am able to identify which choices and paths are more beneficial. I spend more time looking at the extent of the playing field, rather than remaining focused on the space I currently fill. I observe how others navigate and learn how to use the rules to my advantage. Setbacks are inevitable. Instead of focusing on an obstacle, I focus on the new 1 Visit ThinkBrilliantly.com for more free resources on how positive thought & action can help you transform YOUR life!
