Hazardous Walking Code New data element---for 2007-08 Definition: The code number from the Florida Department of Education School Transportation Management automated system that corresponds to the hazardous walking location that makes the student eligible for Transportation Membership Category G (Hazardous Walking, Elementary, Unweighted) as per section 1006.23, F.S.
Hazardous Walking Code • Example 060233 = Hazardous walking record number in the DOE School Transportation Management System. • Web link: http://data.fldoe.org/walking/ • Code students in Grades 7-12 all zeros (000000).
NEW TRANSPORTATION REPORTS • Transportation Membership Category ‘A’ (F70806) This district level report is a list of students with a transportation membership code of ‘A’, Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). • Counts of Students Transported on each Bus (F70808) This district level report is a count of students on each bus. • Names of Students Transported on each Bus (F70810) This district level report lists the names of students on each bus.
AVAILABLE TRANSPORTATION REPORTS F70092-Transportation: Adjusted Base and ESE (FEFP Transportation)- a summary of all eligible students transported, by vehicle type and membership type. F63504-Hazardous Walking Report- a count of students whose Transportation Membership Category is “G”. F63499-Transportation: Average Bus Occupancy Index (FEFP Transportation Fiscal Year 20XX-XX)- a summary of all students by Transportation Membership Category by survey.
AVAILABLE REPORTSCONTINUED • F70755-Transportation Calculation Comparison- a comparison of current and previous calculations in four areas. • F60533-Summary: Transported Less Than 2 Miles- a count of students who are transported less than 2 miles. • F63498-Prior Year Amendment Comparison- a comparison of the amended and final counts for each survey period and the total count for the school year.

TO HELP IMPROVE THE REPORTING PROCESS: Reports should be used during survey processing to check data for accuracy and completeness. BECAUSE At the end of the processing period (Survey 2, 2007-08 is November 9 and Survey 3 is March 7) the data base is locked down. Transportation FTE calculations are run. The database is re-opened (usually 3-4 weeks later) for corrections.
