Examples •establish a women league for disadvantaged girls and women; promote and support mental, social health – Yorkshire region – UK •local football programme combining with coaching sessions for the ethnic minority communities (Asian, Somalian, Irish, Polish and Afro Caribbean) – Leicester – UK •development of a regional football network to engage and empower Asian and ethnic minority communities to give access opportunities in football and society – Bristol – UK •celebrate cultural diversity, teach skills of citizenship, raise awareness of racism in sport and support community cohesion in an area with high gang culture and criminal activity – West Midlands – UK •organise street football activities and respect workshops in an European context (the Netherlands, France, UK, Italy, Germany, Bulgaria, Austria)
Examples •create a portable women’s football exhibition in combination with artwork and writing from school boys and girls – UK •include Gypsy, Roma and Traveller groups in mainstream football – UK •‘Fair Friends 2010’ : educational football project prior to UEFA Football Championship 2010 Poland/Ukraine with 16 school classes from Berlin (Germany) and Kolobrzeg (Poland) •create a dvd with positive messages of diversity and include famous football players with their positive experiences – Belgium •provide + 500 immigrant youngsters (African, Latin American, Eastern Europe) access opportunities to sport grounds – Madrid - Spain
