  2. History of the Mission Jedediah Smith founded mission number 4. The mission was in Los Angeles nearest to missions San Juan de Capistrano and mission San Fernando Rey de Espana. The date of this mission is September 7th, 1771.

  3. Daily Life What the Indians did when they where in mission San Gabriel Arcangel was make wine, soap, candles, and hides.

  4. Special Features The nickname of my mission is Arcangel. A couple of rooms in my mission are the courtyard, workshops, winery, kitchen, church, and laundry. One thing that is unique about this mission is that it has a belltower.

  5. Historic Highlights The highlights of the mission San Gabriel Arcangel is that it has a winery, a bell tower, and a workshop that makes soap and candles.

  6. The Mission Today Visitors stop to feed the pigeons that flock in the courtyard and gardens. They love this mission and the mission will always love them.
