The Adjunct Academy The objectives of the Adjunct Academy are to: • enhance teaching effectiveness • provide access to college resources • communicate vital information TO ENSURE STUDENT SUCCESS!
What is the Adjunct Academy? • The Adjunct Academy is a one-semester comprehensive program of self-paced, self-directed, online modules with assessment tools which will allow the participant to work at his/her own speed, day or night, in off-campus settings to learn up-to-date educational methodologies as well as policies and procedures for teaching at Volunteer State.
The Adjunct Academy Modules Can Be Employed For: • Enhancing the teaching success of adjunct faculty • Orienting newly-hired full-time faculty to Volunteer State policies and procedures • Assisting employee performance via formative growth plans
As an adjunct faculty member, how does participating in The Adjunct Faculty benefit me? Adjuncts who complete The Adjunct Academy program will earn Preferred Adjunct Status • Teaching assignments • Summer employment • WEBCT training • RODP training • Continued Education Credits
