Update…. • Adjunct Professional Development Funds were funded as part of the 2007-2010 Faculty Contact • $12,000 is allocated every year • The contract stated that the Provost would establish how the funds would be allocated • The guidelines for requesting funds can be found on the Provost web page • The current process requires the adjunct faculty to work with their Associate Dean • Max reimbursement for each adjunct, as determined by Deans’ Council, is $300 • Over the last five years, 178 adjunct faculty members have received funds for a total of $48,329.17
Reimbursement Overview • 2007-2008 • 16 faculty members • 8 from WFD for $8,740.64 • 8 from A&S for $3,259.37 • 2008-2009 • 31 faculty members • 23 from A&S for $5,534.26 • 8 from WFD for $1,899 • 2009-2010 • 32 faculty members • 24 from A&S for $5,181.29 • 7 from WFD for $2,294 • 2010-2011 • 52 faculty members • 40 from A&S for $8,045.89 • 11 from WFD for $2,950.57 • 1 from SA for $300 • 2011-2012 • 47 faculty members • 27 from A&S for $7,724.64 • 10 from WFD for $2399.53
Reimbursement Categories for 2011-2012 • Conference Reimbursements ($1,690.59) • Registrations ($4,119.50) • Course/Tuition ($1,800) • Memberships/Professional Dues ($1,498) • Mileage ($801.80) • Materials for the classroom ($214.28) • Books, software, magazine subscriptions, etc.
Balance Update • As of June 6, the remaining fund balance is $12,331.18 • This is a result of not spending the entire $12,000 in 08/09, 09/10, and 10/11 • Moving into 2012/13, there will be a balance of $24,331.18 • The remaining balance of 11/12, plus the $12,000 allocated from the contact
