National Certificate in IT • 1 year Full Time (Level 2) • Equivalent to 4 GCSE grades A* - C • Entry requires 4 GCSE’s at grade D with a D/E profile in Maths and English Language • or Foundation Certificate at Level 1 • Progress to Level 3 courses
National Certificate in IT • Four compulsory + two optional units • Investigate the IT Industry • System Operations and IT skills for Industry • Hardware and Systems Installation • Customer Support
Vocational GCE Applied ICT • 2 years Full Time : Level 3 • Equivalent to 2 ‘A’ levels • Need 4 GCSE’s C or above, including Maths or English with minimum D in the other • Progression to Degree, HND or job (user or technician)

Computing Access • To prepare adults to return to education • 2 – 3 days per week • Must be over 19 years of age • Need GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above, and an interest in IT • Progress to a degree course at SHU or the College’s Foundation Degree
