Badminton Terminology... Equipment & Court Shots • Drop shot • Wood shot • Overhead clear shot • Drive shot • Smash shot • Kill • Backhand • Alley - Area around the court 1-1/2 ft • Shuttlecock - shuttle, bird, birdie. • Racquet • Baseline – back boundary line • Short service line- go past to be legal • Long service line – drop before to be legal.
