  1. CJI DY Chandrachud to hear the MCD Mayor election case on February 8, 2023 07 February, 2023 Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud along with other judges of the bench agreed to list the matter related to the Delhi Municipal Corporation Mayor polls on February 8, 2023. The case was presented before CJI, Justice PB Pardiwala, and Justice PS Narasimha by Advocate AM Singhvi. The election was scheduled to take place on January 24, 2023, this was the third time that this election was postponed. In the previous hearing on 6th February, a hassle over the members who were allowed to vote in the election arose. BJP wanted the alderman should vote for the election but the AAP opposed it. The Presiding Officer of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, Satya Sharma said to conduct the election simultaneously for Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and Standing Committee members which was not completed due to the hassle. Considering this, the case was listed for tomorrow by the Chief Justice of India. Also Read: LCV Gowri, to take an oath, today, as Madras High Court judge
