Overview • NCLB Public School Choice Options • Choice with Transportation (CWT) • NCLB Option – CWT • Supplemental Educational Services (SES) • NCLB Option – SES • Controlled Open Enrollment • Special Programs (Magnet School and Program, ABC program)
Choice with Transportation (CWT) • Offer and provide transfer from home school to receiver school • Home school = Title I schools identified as in need of improvement, corrective action, or restructuring • Receiver school = higher performing public school
Choice with Transportation (CWT) Data Reporting • Data format: Prior School Status/Student Attendance • Data element: Educational Choice • Primary type of educational choice: Code C – Choice with Transportation

Supplemental Educational Services (SES) • Tutoring in reading/language arts, science and mathematics • Outside the regular school day • Provided by state-approved SES providers
Supplemental Educational Services (SES) Data Reporting • Data format: Title I Supplemental Educational Services • Current data elements: District, School, Student, Survey Period, Year, SES Provider (App. T), Term, SES Contact Hours – Reading/Language Arts, and Math, and Begin Services Date
Supplemental Educational Services (SES) New data elements: SES Contact Hours – Science • Similar to Contact Hours – Math and Reading/LA SES Length of Prescribed Program • Total number of tutoring hours • Report for each provider • Hours of all subject areas added to calculate length of prescribed program • Round to nearest whole number
Supplemental Educational Services (SES) New data elements: SES Achievement Goals (for each subject area) • Total number of student learning goals by subject area (recommendation: 1 to 5 goals per subject) • Established in the Student Learning Plan • No goals need to be report with code ’00’
Supplemental Educational Services (SES) New data elements: SES Achievement Goals Mastered (for each subject area) • Total number of learning goals for each subject mastered by student • No goals established need to be report with code ’00’ • No goals mastered need to be reported with code ’00’
Supplemental Educational Services (SES) New data elements: SES Achievement Goals Mastered (for each subject area) • No achievement goals reported then goals mastered need to be coded ’00’ • Goals mastered on or before May 1 must be reported
