    Macedonia Irrigation Rehabilitation & Restructuring Project Governament support of Irrigation sector reform Legislation framework; Establishing of new water economies (WE); Establishing of Irrigation water comunities (IWC); Rehabilitation of main irrigation infrastructure; Rehabilitation of IWC distributive network; WE Capacity buildig program IWC Capacity buildig program REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE, FORESTRY & WATER ECONOMY Water Economies Law WE are resposible for O&M of the main structures (dams) and chanals WE may be established in order to supply water for: irrigation; drinking, domestic and commercial uses; industrial uses, including power generation. Autonomous self-funding public law bodies Managed Board of water users Irrigation Water Comunities Law IWC is an association of owners or users of agricultural land associated and responsible for: management, O&M, construction, reconstruction or expansion of tertiary and/or secondary network or small irrigation schemes IWC is legal entity and is non-profit Management board (farmers and local self governament representatives) Macedonia Irrigation Rehabilitation & Restructuring Project Macedonia Irrigation Rehabilitation & Restructuring Project Empowered IWC (WUAs) IWC acctivities: Preparations for the irrigation season Evaluation of previous irrigation season System walk-through Annual work plan      the provisional cropping plan     proposed maintenance and repair works     proposed manner of water distribution     proposed way of fee collection     proposed schedule of Assembly meetings, and     proposed hiring of staff and/or labour WUA budget Cash flow forecast Empowered IWC (WUAs) Macedonia Irrigation Rehabilitation & Restructuring Project IWC acctivities: 2.
