Must have.. • Base- can use a variety of items or set ups but all catapults must have a bottom base or support structure • Lever arm- used to pull back and launch the marshmallow, must have something on lever arm to place marshmallow in • Latch- something in place so you can pull back and latch the lever arm

  3. Energy/power- must have a place for energy to come from, examples: rubber bands, springs, other kinds of materials • “Stop bar”- must have a bar or some other set up that stops the lever arm so it can launch

  4. Must turn in… • Physical Catapult • Conceptual model of your physical catapult • List of materials and steps to build • Writing piece composed of history and argument
