Suspicious Email Any email that makes you think twice. It might say you have won some money, request that you follow an unfamiliar link, your order has shipped, or respond with personal information.
What will it say? • Any email that asks for personal information, such as your social security number, date of birth, home address, log-in and password info, banking account numbers, etc. • Any email from someone you don’t know (often times asking you for money or letting you know that you’ve won lots of money) • Any e-mail that sounds too good to be true • An email that seems like spam but comes from someone you know (they’ve probably been hacked)
Signs to Look For • Poor grammar or misspelled words • Asking to install or use programs you’ve never heard of • A lack of information • E-mail from an unknown sender • Asking to download an attachment, but you don’t know exactly what it is • Any email that wants you to respond with personal information

Buying items online It is completely safe to buy items online as long as the site is secure. Make sure the web address says https. The “s” means the web site is secure.
