Low stretch rope is rope that has a low number of elongations. Stretch is the amount by which the rope elongates under tension. With a low stretch rope, the length of the rope is close to the original length after being pulled taut. Itu2019s important to choose the right rope for the job. If a rope doesnu2019t have enough stretch, it will be hard to use. Not enough stretch also makes it harder to hold the rope, making it more dangerous. If the rope has too much stretch, it will snap back when it is released and make it hard to handle.
