GPA makes a big difference • At least 3.0 for many interviews and grad school applications; Must be in good academic standing for co-op and Study Abroad programs • Both Cumulative & Departmental GPA’s must be at least 2.0 to graduate • Academic Honors are granted on the following basis: • 3.9 - 4.0 Summa Cum Laude • 3.7 - 3.89 Magna Cum Laude • 3.5 - 3.69 Cum Laude • Details on the Degree Services web page

Improve your GPA Need to SAVE your GPA? • Attend all classes • Get Help promptly: (don’t procrastinate!) • See your instructor • Go to the learning centers • Counseling Services - 487-2538 • Test anxiety, difficulty focusing, depression, etc… • Prioritize your activities • Repeat course with CD or less • 2nd repeat requires approval from the Dean of Students • 2 is the maximum times you may repeat a course. Most recent grade is included, even if it is lower than prior grade. • If you don’t pass a class after 3 attempts, you may not be able to complete your degree and may have to change your major.
