  2. Why Pledge-67? Inspired by Nelson Mandela’s example, the call is simple: take action and inspire change, in a way that acknowledges his 67-year struggle for social and economic justice in our country. In light of lockdown levels, restrictions and social distancing, our individual commitment to ‘67 minutes’ will need to look a little different this year. The stakes are high. Virus cases are soaring and futures are uncertain, but our love for our country and its people remains strong. With #Pledge-67, you can make a difference without compromising vulnerable communities. R67/month will not only make a difference today but every step of the way in the fight against the long-term effects of this pandemic.
