  1. Clear your vision with VISION METROLOGY - VIEWMM Optical metrology is the scientific study of measuring and characterizing physical quantities using optical methods. It involves the use of light as a measurement tool to study various physical phenomena, such as length, thickness, surface roughness, refractive index, and more. Optical metrology uses a variety of instruments and techniques to perform these measurements, including interferometers, spectrophotometers, microscopes, cameras, and lasers. These tools allow for precise and non-destructive measurements of various physical parameters, and can be used in a variety of fields, such as manufacturing, semiconductor industry, aerospace, and more. Optical metrology is particularly useful for measuring properties of materials that are difficult to access using traditional techniques, such as non-contact measurement of surface topography or the measurement of thickness of transparent films. It is also used in the field of metrology to define and establish standard units of measurement, such as the meter, which is defined as the distance that light travels ooin a vacuum in minimum seconds. Die shift measurements are a type of compact, high-accuracy dimensional metrology. A compact, high-accuracy dimensional metrology system with adaptable optics and lighting, as well as cutting-edge edge detection and image processing capabilities, is required due to the variety of die types, dimensions, and placements, as well as die shift measurements, reflection, and texture changes between die and substrate surfaces. Furthermore, to achieve the required balance of accuracy and throughput, different stage sizes and high-precision movements may be required. Die Shift Measurement is suitable for a variety of parts, including moulded plastic parts, machined parts, electronic assemblies, semiconductor

  2. packages, fibre optic components, disc media substrates, recording head dies, and semiconductor wafers with diameters up to 150 mm. The inspection of multi-chip modules (MCM) can frequently present particularly difficult metrology requirements due to the need to precisely control numerous different factors for multiple die on a common substrate, such as die location measurement, die height at the corners, verification of wire counts for each die, and die-to-substrate alignment characteristics. Coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) are most commonly used to test a part or assembly to see if it adheres to the original design intent. Coordinate measuring machines are used to check the dimensions of manufactured components as part of workflows for quality assurance or quality control in order to prevent or address quality issues. Design with perfection – CAD to measure software A computer-aided design (CAD) software is a tool for creating and editing technical drawings and designs. The use of CAD software can improve the design process's accuracy and efficiency. AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, and other popular CAD software programmes are available on the market. When it comes to measuring, some CAD software includes tools that allow you to take precise measurements within the design. In AutoCAD, for example, the "MEASUREGEOM" command can be used to measure distances, angles, and other geometric properties. To measure distances, angles, and other design properties in SolidWorks, use the "Measure" tool. Designers, engineers, and architects can benefit greatly from the measuring capabilities of CAD software to ensure the accuracy and precision of their designs.
