Desiree Powell - Clinical Lab Tech

Desiree Powell has been trained by the United States Army National Guard as a medical laboratory specialist. She enlisted in the Army National Guard after receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from the State University of New York at Geneseo in 2006. During her time in the Army National Guard, Desiree Powell received her certification as a medical laboratory technician in 2009, as well as her clinical laboratory technician license in 2010.

  1. Desiree Powell - Clinical Lab Tech Desiree Powell is a clinical laboratory technician currently employed by the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is a nationally recognized institution for the treatment of cancer and the leading pioneer in cancer research. Desiree Powell works in the cancer research department in the Laboratory of Comparative Pathology where she also teaches fellow colleagues in hematology, serology, and parasitology.

Desiree Powell - Cancer Research Desiree Powell is currently employed by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, which is a nationally recognized institution for the treatment of cancer and the pioneer in cancer research. Desiree Powell is employed as a clinical laboratory technician within the Laboratory of Comparative Pathology. In addition to typical testing duties she is responsible for as a laboratory technician, she also teaches other colleagues in the field of hematology, serology, and parasitology.

Desiree Powell volunteered for a combat tour in Afghanistan where she aided doctors seeing to injured soldiers and civilians.

Her duties as a clinical laboratory technician include performing clinical testing and analysis in hematology, serology, parasitology, microbiology, and water testing. Desiree Powell is also responsible for maintaining laboratory inventory and analytical instrumentation.
