  2. CURRENT STATUES • Over 2/3 Al-Qaeda leadership destroyed. • 92,000 American Coalition • 1,400 US casualties • 9,800 US wounded • Taliban Captured Or Killed: 38,000+ • Civilian Deaths: 15,000- 35,000 • Still fighting to uproot remaining Al-Qaeda forces

  3. WAR SUMMARY • Began October 7, 2001 • Operation Enduring Freedom: Defeat Al-Qaeda and Remove Taliban regime from power. • First Phase: Afghan United Front along with the help of U.S. and British Special Forces removed Taliban regime from power within weeks of the start of the war.

  4. Fighting Conditions • Solders live with minimal commodities while fighting in treacherous mountain terrain.
