Expansion of JRAC Expansion of the dietitian role: dietician provides monthly learning sessions Added  a PT in the clinic on a regular basis JRAC received Honorable Mention for the John McCreary Interprofessional Teamwork award PDSA cycles Post -op orders   - Low molecular weight heparin: changed time of administrating first dose post-op PDSA cycles to promote change in Pain control -Staff education -In the process of revising orders Coastal HSDA  - Arthroplasty Program Improvements

  3. Improved linkages with team members within Coastal HSDA     - St Mary's and Squamish doing the pre-op sessions in their communities Coastal HSDA  - Arthroplasty Program Improvements

  4.  Spot checks showed a decline in meeting program goals over the summer/fall 2006 Potential Causes: Reorganization of the clinical & nursing unit Expansion of the clinical focus of the clinic without added clerical support Transition New Nursing Leadership and loss of key support staff Interruption in pre-op anesthesia consult 6 week pre-op ( now available again) Recent STATS show a reversal in the trends ..
