SITS at St Andrews SITS client server is used only by central administrative units :- Admissions - Registry - Careers (DLHE) - Finance (SAM and Fund Manager) - Student Services
e-Vision at St Andrews e-Vision tasks are used across the institution:- Online matriculation - Personal details maintenance - Self-certification of absence - Prizes and awards for graduation - Graduation registration - Changes of circumstance - Fieldwork and location of studies - Curriculum approvals inc. programme specifications- Study abroad placements
SITS and Data Warehouse Data Warehouse (Oracle/SQL environment) uploads SITS data 3x a dayDW is refreshed rather than historically dimensional.Data is normalised and held as views. Data definitions and logic held at DW level rather than application levelPeripheral systems such as Advising and MS Access applications (eg, graduation documentation printing, attendance lists, examination lists, etc.) feed from Data WarehouseIncreasing use of STUTALK (eg, paperless admissions, Module Mark System (MMS), online matriculation)

How do we do it? Monday mornings, 9.15-10am - as requested bespoke training- available as 1:1 or groupMonthly on Wednesday afternoon, 2-4.30pm- 2 - 4.30 pm- 1 hour presentation and 1 hour practical- invitations sent to all staff- routine training for CAPOD certificationPC Classrooms or Meeting Room
