Relief Watch Mission statement: Relief Watch is an advocacy organization that promotes sustained assistance for communities affected by natural disasters after initial responders and worldwide attention have subsided. Through comprehensive research grounded in local perspectives, we will inform and enable sustained action through targeted advocacy to foreign governments, volunteer professionals, and the media. Organizational Partners CHF International Pan American Development Foundation -Built over 1,900 transitional shelters, housing over 9,500 Haitians in sanitary, safe conditions. -Removed over 256,000 cubic meters of debris — equal to four football fields covered seven stories high in rubble. • -Pan American Development Fund has been doing on the ground work since shortly after the earthquake and continue to do so today. • -PADF is working hard to move people out of the camps and into safe homes. • -They are also hiring locals in recovery efforts, providing counseling to victims, and creating a safe haven for children.
