Meeting of Project Group Planning the Road Network Athens 10-11 April 2008 Travelling information The meeting will take place at the office of Greek Roads Directorate, Panormou 70 (6th floor, stairs to 7th floor) From Athens Internatinal airport (Eleftherios Venizelos) you can use the metro line (M3-blue line, El. Venizelos – Egaleo(ex Monastiraki)) to Athens city centre. Departure every 30 minutes, approximately 40 minutes to Syntagma Square and approximately 35 minutes to the meeting place (metro station “Panormou”, Panormou 70). You can also the bus (X95) Airport - Syntagma that leads you to Syntagma, the most central square of Athens. At website www.aia.gr you will find all information concerning the Athens Airport and the transportation to the airport. At website www.ametro.gr you will find all information concerning the metro transportation in Athens. At the website www.multimap.com, you will find a lot of maps, helping you to find your way.

  5. .....Concerning hotels in Athens, there is a great variety, depending as you know on the prices... The nearest hotel in the meeting place is Hotel President (~20 floors height), a 4 star hotel, almost 300m away from the metro stations "Panormou" and "Ambelokipi". There is also a great variety of hotels around the metro stations "Megaro Mousikis", "Evangelismos", "Syntagma" and "Monastiraki", which are all in the same direction with the Metro line 3 (El. Venizelos - Egaleo), but also near the metro station "Acropoli", just near The acropolis and Plaka... Just near the City Hall and the metro station "Monastiraki" there is another 4 star hotel that I would try it if I was a tourist in Athens because it's a little "trendy" and "fashionable", but that reflexes my own taste...
