That’s the Power of Love
It don't take money and it don't take fame Don't need no credit card to ride this train Tougher than diamonds and stronger than steel
You won't feel nothin' till you feel…You feel the power, just the power of love
There is a fear that is righteous: The fear (awe, respect) of God is the beginning of wisdom (Prov. 9:10)
But I John 4 reminds us that the cross has transformed that fear into “agape” love
Our relationship with God is no longer based on a fear of punishment but on the Spirit within that reminds us that we have been redeemed by God’s love
The fears that remain are residual effects of our sin leading to self-induced misery; worry, apprehension, horror, or consternation
These fears undercut our ability to love and lead to an avoidance of issues, paralysis of the will, loss of focus, purpose, and reason
When negative, irrational fears control our relationships, love dissipates and disappears

Three biblical ingredients for a fierce, fearless love between a man and a woman
Song of Songs 4:7 Rava = friend, companion, soulmate
Song of Songs 8:7 Ahava = deep affection that makes your heart ache
Song of Songs 1:2 Dod = passionate, romantic feelings that are expressed physically
Rava (friend), Ahava (deep affection), Dod (passion of mind & body)… their true power is fulfilled only in a relationship with God through the cross
#2 Living in the Spirit
GOD love love SELF love OTHERS
#3 Walking the Talk "If you love me, you will obey what I command
Jesus lived by the Holy Scriptures, walked in God’s Spirit, and walked his talk all the way to the Cross
Jesus, fully human and divine, confronted his fears in the Garden through prayer and found the strength to be faithful unto death
He calls us to take up the cross, walk in his steps, and learn the way that leads to God’s fearless, perfect love.
Ultimately, it is at the Cross that fierce, fearless love triumphs
