How to load a delimited file in x88’s product pandora Training Manual
Select 'Database'... The database stores all data that is used throughout Pandora. You can access all tables/columns/values from all of the different projects here.
Right click 'Tables'... By right clicking tables you are presented with an option menu where you will need to select ‘Load Data’. After this a new screen (Select Data Source will appear…
Select Data Source group The data source you select will depend on what format the data your trying to load is saved as. E.g. a CSV file will be loaded through Delimited Files, an excel spreadsheet will be loaded through spreadsheets and a database will obviously be loaded through database tables. In this presentation we are going to select Delimited Files as the data we are loading is saved as a CSV file.
Select datasource The next screen will be showing you which files you can chose to load your data to/from. ‘Public Files’ can be accessed by anyone who uses the product, ‘Group Files’ can be accessed by individuals who have been granted permission to view them and ‘My Files’ can only be viewed by you, the user. In this presentation we are going to select ‘Public Files’.
Select tables Here you are presented with all the different files that are currently available to be loaded. If the file you wish to load is not shown here you can find it by selecting ‘Send’, this will then take you to all the files that are saved on your computer system and you will be able to select which one you wish to load. In this presentation we are going to select the Mortgages file which is already available.
Select the default project… You need to select the default project for you new table load. The project you select will be where you find your table when you go to use it in the future. If you are wishing to load the table to a new project it is important that you have already created it so that it is available in the drop down list found here…
Configure table… Here you are given a small sample of your data so you can check for any faults that it may contain. If any faults are found it means you can try and deal with them before loading a whole table into Pandora. In this example there are no faults and therefore the table can be loaded straight away. Because there are no faults all you need to do is select ‘Next’ and then ‘Load”. The ‘load complete’ box will pop up once the table has been successfully loaded.
