Asthma • Airways swell up, preventing air from easily going in and out of the lungs • Can be triggered by allergens (pollen, animals, etc.), exercise, or stress • Inhalers propel medicine to the lungs.
Pneumonia • Can be caused by either bacteria or virus inside your lungs • Symptoms are coughing, chest pain, and shortness of breath • A chronic (keeps happening) sickness in smokers.
Tuberculosis • A bacterial infection • Causes coughing, fever, and wheezing • Rampant in Africa, and often lethal because of HIV infection.
Gout • Type of Arthritis • Buildup of uric acid in blood stream • Found in internal meats like kidney, liver, and sweetbreads (pancreas, stomach, heart) • Produces severe joint swelling.
