Course numbers ending in ‘A’ are 1st semester and ‘B’ indicates 2nd semester. For year-long courses, be sure to select both!
A completed schedule is 24/24 units Zero hour and Marching Band will be more than a full schedule and you’ll need to put them as ‘alternate courses’. BHS will move them to the appropriate class period.

Scholarship Opportunities What to AIM for: All A’s and B’s in 16 core classes Above average test scores on ACT or SAT Extracurricular involvement (clubs, sports, music, dance, leadership, etc.)
Impact Chandler Schools • College scholarship/leadership opportunity through the Chandler Education Foundation • Must maintain a 3.4 un-weighted GPA all 4 years • Must have 95% attendance • Must complete at least 100 hours of community service throughout high school, 35 are due at the end of the sophomore year • Essay contest for scholarship • Must enroll your Freshman year, listen for announcements
Arizona Academic Scholars • 4 English, 4 Math, 3 lab Sciences,3 social studies,2 foreign language, 2 fine art and/or CTE credits • Grade of C or higher in above classes. • Seal on your high school diploma.

Some Key Points to Remember • If you register for a math block, it will take 2 class periods (so you will have only 1 elective). • There is a summer reading project for Honors English 9. Go to the English page at www.bashabears.com in late spring for details. • If you are taking Geometry or higher, we recommend you also take Honors Biology. • Fall Sports Available: Badminton, Cross Country, Girls Volleyball, Boys & Girls Golf, Football, Swimming, Freshman Tennis, and Spirit line. • If you’ve taken the same foreign language in both 7th and 8th grade, then you may sign up for the 2nd year of that language. • Be sure to sign up for classes that are available to 9th graders • Beginning dance is not offered to 9th graders. • Any class signed up for that isn’t offered to 9th graders will be removed from your schedule and one of your alternate choices will be selected. • Marching Band and Percussion meet after school as a 7th hour class.
