In the breakfast club we can talk to learning mentors for support and smiles. Tribe Time – everyone is made to feel special and calm. We talk about our work for the day. We use our senses, focussed imagery and brilliant breathing for moments of reflection.

In the breakfast club we can talk to learning mentors for support and smiles.
Tribe Time – everyone is made to feel special and calm. We talk about our work for the day.
We use our senses, focussed imagery and brilliant breathing for moments of reflection.
In literacy, we concentrate on sentence and word level work.
We have an inspiration room which changes with every term’s focus.
The library service organise some fantastic resources for us.
All of the resources in the school are organised in the style of continuous provision.
When we have finished, we look for a lead learner to help improve/ extend our work.
Some of us are discovering special talents we never knew we had.
We raise our heart rate and learn great dances like this one…Thriller!
The teachers learn with us and we are much better than they are!
If we are a morning person, we exercise in the afternoon and vice versa.
We use resources from the secondary school to set up ‘play bays’ to help with our learning.
Our learning is real –this term we have set up a photographer’s studio for parents to book appointments – a real photographer is coming to help us.
In KS2, we use the clock in the playground to help us get back in on time after lunch.
In our numeracy sessions we use a variety of different ways of learning.
We might look messy but we are making great progress in our work.
Walls are for celebration and display has changed in our school – Mr Freeston has a special wall for ‘leaps’ in learning.
Our new systems of learning pose great question for what we do – if 7/10 children are going to be clinically obese, why do we have to wear clothes that restrict our levels of activity – blazers? Why?
