Areas of Western Expansion • These areas are the Louisiana Purchase, Gadsen Purchase, Mexican Cession, and the Oregon Territory.
Modifications Made to the Environment • Some examples of the modifications made were enclosing land with fences, people making barns for their animals, and cutting down trees for houses.
Manifest Destiny • Manifest Destiny was the idea that the U.S. should stretch from ocean to ocean.
