EMS Services and Success Stories The Ethiopian Cleaner Production Center is assisting local enterprises to develop and implement Environmental management System based on ISO 14000 The Center has already started the delivery of ISO 14001-EMS services on a pilot phase to selected enterprises in the priority sectors. (Leather, textile & food & beverage industry sectors). • This is being done in partnership with STENUM of Austria and QSAE, ESCPE & EPA

ISO 14001 based EMS Training & Awareness Raising • Awareness Raising - The Center with partner institutions has delivered awareness raising sessions for top management members of six enterprises. • EMS Development and Implementation Training - The Center has prepared training material. - The Center has delivered in plant trainings for six companies and has trained 154 participants for 2½ days. • Two third of the enterprises are finalizing the planning phase of EMS development and implementation
