PGY-5 GOALS AND OBJECTIVES • Access and critically evaluate current medical information and scientific evidence relevant to patients with medical illness in both in-patient and outpatient settings • Understand and utilize the multidisciplinary resources necessary to care optimally for patients with complex medical illnesses • Expand leadership skills and teaching skills serving as a team leader on multi-disciplinary house services • Communicate effectively with consultants
PGY-5 GOALS AND OBJECTIVES • Provide appropriate evaluations, reports, and recommendations serving as a consultant on both general medicine and subspecialty services • Recognize professional responsibility to always place patient's needs first • Critically evaluate patient care provided in efforts to identify opportunities for improvement • Broaden knowledge base in critical care and sub-specialty areas of medicine
PGY-5 GOALS AND OBJECTIVES • Able to guide and teach PGY2-4 level residents. • Able to take semi-independent decisions, yet not-perform unsupervised care. • Initiate and complete a research project • Make at least one presentation in a national/international meeting
