Introduction: Origin and Evolution of the ACCV • The Valencian Government is one of the 17 autonomous regional goverments that exist in Spain. They are all self governing and independent from the national government in many areas. • In 1999, the Valencian Government implemented Strategic Plans to accelerate the introduction of new Information Technologies in Valencia Society. • In this context, a new project called e-firmaGV was started in 2000. The ACCV is juridically independent and has a total control and authority over its operation to achieve its goals. • Today, the ACCV is considered the most utilized regional Certification Services Provider in Spain.
