Research Paper Thesis: Archery shows extensive skill and grace complimentary to the cultures that perfected the technique. This weapon is very precise and teaches you to focus your mind. • Ancient history and techniques • Classifications of bows and arrows • Holding and drawing the bow • How today it has altered
History • Stone Age • Roman civilizations • Battle reinforcements • Grecian art and myth • Medieval Archers • Decrease in archery • Introduction of archery as a competitive sport in the 1500’s
Facts • The four main archery forms are clout, field, flight, and target. I have practiced each of these forms with my mentor. • There are 3 bow styles. Long Bow, recurve, and compound.
Preparation • Proper stance and arm placement are required to aim accurately. • Practical safety precautions • Finding equipment that will enable me to shoot to my best advantage • Attire/ Protection

Mentor Reflection • Linda Brittan is a Level 2 Archery Instructor • 10-12 years of experience • Bachelors degree in Psychology • Was a teacher for 20 years • Supportive and helpful • Owns a 8-10-12 Archery Equipment with her husband
What I have Learned • I have learned all the arrow and bow parts • How to position yourself when shooting • How to make an arrow • Different target types and the scoring • History of archery • As well as the minor differences between different cultures uses • Olympic statistics and requirements
Conclusion • Thank you for coming! I have learned not only a lot about archery but also about the tenacity and time management skills needed to complete such a large projects with so many components. • Questions?
