  3. Introduction to VMT ISO 9001 certified public institution employing 14 persons Public authority for metrology (legal, fundamental and industrial) EURAMET, WELMEC, COOMET Member; signature of CIPMA MRA, correspondent member to OIML. Participation in EU financed projects since 1992

Supervision and co-ordination of activities of verification, calibration and testing laboratories – 5 state companies metrology centres (up to 300 employees) co-ordination of activities and supervision of 4 state standard laboratories (30 persons) Supervision and co-ordination of activities of private verification, calibration and testing laboratories (43 labs)

Twinning projects: 2003.004-341.03.02 “Developing reliable infrastructure in the fields of measurements in chemistry in Lithuania according to the best EU practices”: fiche preparation, participation in selection committee, negotiation in contract preparation, co-ordination of input of Lithuanian specialists, project leadership, overall management, drafting of side-letters and addendums, project reports, reporting to the EC Delegation and Ministry of Finance (National Aid Co-ordinator). Co-ordination of preparation of draft technical specifications for supply of equipment and for technical assistance in development of information system in chemistry capable of calculating uncertainty of measurements.

  6. 2003.004-341.03.03 “Improving measurement infrastructure in mass, length and temperature fields in Lithuania with regard to the EU requirements and preparation for the smooth transposition of the forthcoming EU legislation in legal metrology field”: fiche preparation, participation in selection committee, negotiation in contract preparation, co-ordination of input of Lithuanian specialists, project leadership, overall management, drafting of side-letters and addendums, project reports, reporting to the EC Delegation and Ministry of Finance. Co-ordination of preparation of draft technical specifications for supply of equipment and for technical assistance in development of information system in mass and pre-packages capable of calculating uncertainty of measurements.

  7. 2004-016-925-04-04 “Development of national ionising radiation measurement infrastructure according to the practice of EU member states”: fiche preparation, participation in selection committee, negotiation in contract preparation, co-ordination of input of Lithuanian specialists, project leadership, overall management, drafting of side-letters and addendums, project reports, reporting to the Central project management agency and Ministry of Finance (National Aid Co-ordinator). Co-ordination of preparation of draft technical specifications for supply of equipment and for technical assistance in development of information system in ionizing radiation capable of calculating uncertainty of measurements

Project leader in the following TwL projects: 2002/000-601.06.03 “Implementation of EU legislation on net content of pre-packages and strengthening of administrative and technical capacity in metrology field”; 2005-017-05-01-0004 “Strengthening measurement infrastructure in liquids and grain sectors”; 2005/017-494-05-01-0008 “More effective market surveillance in metrology – Software applications in measuring instruments” (on-going).
