  3. VIRUS Unitat 5. Els virus Els virus són estructures molt senzilles formades per un àcid nucleic (de només un tipus) envoltat d’una càpsula proteica. De vegades hi ha, a més, un embolcall membranós. No tenen cap mena d’orgànul cel·lular ni enzims que els permetin l’obtenció d’energia o fer la biosíntesi. Per reproduir-se necessiten una cèl·lula viva, amb la qual mantenen una relació parasitària: són paràsits endocel·lulars obligats. Els virus es poden presentar en dos estats:
