El Romanticisme EL ROMANTICISME • En un context de revolució industrial i de crisi de la raó aparegué el Romanticisme, inicialment a Alemanya i a la Gran Bretanya, i posteriorment s’estengué a la resta d’Europa. • Amb un rerefons idealista, el Romanticisme toca temes absoluts i d’afirmació individual. • La literatura romàntica valorava les dimensions irracionals de la persona, com ara l’amor, els somnis i la imaginació. • La reivindicació de l’esfera individual té una traducció cultural que posa èmfasi en la dignitat i el dret a la llibertat, en la cultura i la llengua dels pobles i en el folklore. Tot això desemboca en el nacionalisme. • La naturalesa és una font d’harmonia que es veu afectada pel món industrial.
