The standards have been developed by teachers across the country and are designed to be robust and relevant to the real world • The Common Core stresses not only procedural skill but also conceptual understanding, to make sure students are learning and absorbing the critical information they need to succeed at higher levels. Both ELA and Mathematics standards focus students on developing the skills and perseverance to engage in sustained problem solving and research. • To assist in accomplishing the Common Core State Standards Creekview is engaging in the adoption of a new math program. No longer will the Every Day Math be used.
