Directory Overview • The LFx can store up to 250 contact cards, including up to 32 contact lists • A list is composed of individual contacts already stored • To manage directory, use 1 • After creating a contact card, you may display it, modify its contents, or even delete it. • To print the directory, press 15 or 53 • To save/restore the directory, use the optional directory card • It can save up to 250 contact cards, including up to 32 lists • To do so, use 161 or 162

Directory Management 1/2 • To add a new individual contact, press 11 • Enter the name and the fax number • Confirm or modify the automatically attributed ID number • Select With or Without Associated Key • If With Associated Key selected, confirm the first available letter or change it by using  and  keys • Confirm the default fax transmission speed or select another one • If there is a PABX and a local prefix has already been programmed, do not add it to the contact’s number

Directory Management 2/2 • If a contact card includes both a fax number, the machine will use either information whether you press • To add a new list, press 12 • Enter the list name and select the N individual contacts • Type the initials, or the ID number or press and browse • Leave the (N+1)th contact ID number blank and press OK • Confirm or modify the automatically attributed ID number

Positioning Documents • In the automatic document feeder • Up to 50 sheets • Face up • First sheet at the top of the stack • Once scanned, the sheets are in the scanner exit tray • In the flatbed scanner • Sheets one by one • Face down • The origin is the left lower corner of the flatbed scanner glass

  35. Copying • Standard copy: Press twice or twice • Complex copy: Press then enter and confirm settings • Number of copies, input/output mode, resolution, contrast, brightness, assembled Y/N, zoom, origin, normal/thick paper, paper tray • You can stop settings and launch copy by pressing

  36. Copying • ID copy: Press after insert your recto and press . After first scan he ask you to insert your verso. . • Most of the previous settings can be entered using 84 and 85 sub-menus and so become default settings for the machine

Faxing • Position the document(s) • You can first set the resolution and contrast • Dialing • Type the number of the recipient or • Type the initial(s) of the recipient (recorded in Directory) or • Press then browse using and  keys until you find the recipient (who can also be a recorded list) or • Press then press the letter assigned to the recipient or • Press then type the number assigned to the recipient or • Redial one of the ten last numbers if any, by pressing • Finally press to send the fax • Before that you may set a transmission time, adjust contrast and select the feed type

Special Fax Features 1/2 • Faxing to multiple recipients (only if Memory Send selected: press 2321) • Position the document(s) • You can first set the resolution and contrast • Type or select the first recipient as mentioned above • Then press and type or select the second recipient • You can repeat the last step up to the tenth recipient • Delayed Transmission: position document(s) then 31 • Enter the recipient’s number then the transmission time • You may adjust options before sending the fax • Relay broadcast: your LFF may relay on an other LFF to broadcast a document to a shared list by using 37

Special Fax Features 2/2 • Sending a fax manually • Position the document(s), press , adjust the sound level using / keys (if necessary), enter the recipient number • The remote fax is called and as soon as you hear the fax signal, press to start transmission • Rerouting faxes to a contact stored in the directory • Enable rerouting: 3911 • Menus 392 and 393 are therefore enabled • 392 then enter the destination number from directory • 3931 to have a local copy of the rerouted document • A fax can be rerouted to a contact’s Email address if the contact’s fax machine is not available

Using the printer • The printer can be used for faxes, emails, reports, logs, guides, technical parameters and for copying. • The printer can also be used as a PC printer • PC direct USB : install Companion Suite Pro • To print from a PC application, select the print menu (typically File/Print), select the Laser Pro LL2 printer, set the parameters of your print job and confirm

Access Media • You have different functionalities with the USB key: • After you insert it you have a message : “Media analysis”. • After analysis you have a access to: • Print doc: for print document directly on your USB key • Scan to: for scanning document in your USB key • Delete: for delete any documents • Media analysis: for a new analyse

  45. Cleaning Scanner • When one or more vertical lines appear on transmitted copies or faxes, clean the scanner with a soft, lint-free cloth, dampened with alcohol.

Cleaning Printer • Clean the outside of the printer with a smooth duster • Remove the imaging cartridge and clean the paper take-up roll then replace the cartridge • Note 1: The imaging cartridge is the drum cartridge, to which the toner cartridge is mounted • Note 2: Avoid touching the fusing unit because it is too hot after a print operation
