Getting Involved • STUDENTS: FCA, After-School Clubs (Students will get a full list soon) and Athletics: Fall – boys tennis, girls golf, cross-country, Winter – wrestling, Spring – boys golf, girls tennis, track and field. • PARENTS – PSG, front office, book store, social events (criminal history check must be completed EVERY 3 YEARS) • CONFERENCES – Online Sign-up in mid-September for October 9 and 10

  5. Important Items • Passports – should be used daily • Lockers – band and P.E. • Extras at lunch – can put limits • Math Finals • Vaccinations – must have these done ASAP • Dress code • Cell phones • Tardy policy & Lanyard policy

School Lanyard / Tardy Policy • 1st Offense- Verbal warning • 2nd Offense - Verbal warning, parent notification by student • 3rd Offense - Lunch detention in ISS, parent notification by student and office, guidance notification • 4th Offense - After school detention and parent notification • 5th Offense – After school detention and administration notification • Every NO Lanyard/ID Offense after 5 will result in a Friday School

Awards and Celebrations • Dog Bones buy pencils, erasers, extra copies, bookstore items, Dog Bone cart • Quarterly Celebrations = Locker decorations and dog bones • Rewards for No Passes Used in a nine weeks • Other reward options- perfect attendance, 4 Bs, honor roll, student of the quarter, and bringing up grades (BUGs)

  11. What is SEEK? • Student Enrichment and Extension of Knowledge • Serves multiple purposes • Intervention in Math or Language Arts • Strengthening of skills in Math or Language Arts • Enrichment and extension of skills in all subject areas • Somewhat fluid placement

  12. Homework • All homework is due at the beginning of class. • SEEK is not a study hall. • All work is to be done neatly. • If isn’t complete, the student may be expected to work during lunch to finish. • In addition, each teacher has her own policies regarding homework.

  13. Missing Work • If a student does not complete an assignment, that assignment will show missing in the PowerSchool gradebook and recorded as a zero until it’s turned in. • Once turned in, assignments can then receive full-credit

  14. Work After an Absence After an absence, it is the student’s responsibility to get the make-up work from each teacher upon his/her return. Please do not request make-up work until the second day of an absence.

  15. Report Cards • You may check PowerSchool at any time for updates on grades. • You may also program PowerSchool to send you updates on a regular basis. • You will not receive a paper report card.
