  2. Has someone ever embarrassed you just because of the color of your skin? Well, this is something Cassie and her family have to go through every day in the book Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry, and it’s not only the color of their skin, but over land her family had purchased shortly after slavery ended.You would never imagine the things they had to go through, like walking to school on a freezing cold day, and then get water splashed all over you, talk about getting the flu, but that’s only one problem.

I don’t have a favorite part in this book, because I like this whole book, this is one of the best books I’ve ever read.What I like about this book is that no matter what happened the family always stuck together.I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about courage, or family staying together in order to get through rough times.
