3. What Happened? • The dynamite sticks exploded and killed 4 girls that were Addie Mae Collins, Cynthia Wesley, Denise McNair, and Carole Robertson.

5. When Did This Happen? • This happened early Sunday morning of September 15,1963 at about 10:19 am.

6. Why Did This Happen? • This happened because the K. K. K. knew that the 16th Street Baptist Church was a meeting place during the Civil Rights Movement.

7. What caused this event to happen? • What caused this event to happen was that the K. K. K. did not like African Americans.

The dynamite killed 4 little girls that were; Addie Mae Collins, Cynthia Wesley, Denise McNair, and Carole Robertson. It was on 16th Street Baptist Church; Birmingham, Alabama. Three little known facts about the event • One little known fact is the only window that survived the concussion was one in which Jesus Christ was depicted knocking on a door and Christ’s face was blown away. • A second little known fact is that it was Youth Day at the 16th Street Baptist Church. • A third little known fact is that the 16th Street Baptist Church was organized as the First Colored Baptist Church of Birmingham.

11. Our opinion about this event • Our opinion about the event is the death of the four little was very racist. We think that Bobby Frank Cherry, Thomas Blanton, Herman Frank Cash, and Robert Chambliss should have never planted 122 sticks of dynamite in the basement of the church. Carole, Addie Mae, Denise, and Cynthia was innocent and they should have never been killed.

14. Carole Robertson Carole Robertson was born on April 24th. 1949.She was the third child of Alpha and Alvin Roberson. She was a straight A student ,and she was a member of Parker High School marching band and science club. She was also a Girl Scout . She is buried in Greenwood Cemetery.

15. Addie Mae Collins Addie Mae Collins was born on April 18, 1949. She was the daughter of Julius Collins. She was one of the seven children. She was also an avid softball player. Addie Mae is buried in Greenwood Cemetery.

16. Denise McNair Denise McNair was born on November17, 1951. She was the first child of Chris and Maxine McNair. Her playmates called her Niecie. She was buried in Elmwood Cemetery.

17. Cynthia Wesley • Cynthia Wesley was born on April 30, 1949. She was adopted by Claude and Gertrude Wesley. She excelled in math, reading, and band. She is buried in Greenwood Cemetery.
