  2. Mummy • A mummy is the body of a person (or an animal) that has been preserved after death.

  3. Natron • Natron is a natural salt found on the banks of the Nile River. • Ancient Egyptians used it to dry out bodies during the mummification process.

  4. Resin • Resin is a glue substance made from plants. It is used to wrap bodies with linen to mummify.

  5. Canopic Jars • Canopic jars are the containers where the mummy’s organs were stored. • The canopic jars were then put inside a canopic chest and then placed in the tomb.
