  3. Past Utilization of CTS Funds • Awarded $1000 in Phase 1 Funding and $1,800 in Phase 2. Breakdown of CTS funding expenditures: Advertisement $100 Food at meetings $250 Robotics $1100 R5 Registration $500 R5 Lodging $600 Total expenditures of allocated funds $2550 Total Remaining (including travel reimbursement) $634.20

  4. Proposed Use of CTS Funding • Robotics Competition • R5 Conference • Other Student Competitions, possible S-PAC • Outreach Events • Marketing Materials • Community Service

  5. Main Areas • Robotics Competition • Possibly Sponsor 2 Teams • One of the biggest incentives • Encourages team work and group cohesion Projected Cost: $1200.00 • R5 Conference in Oklahoma • Great response from past attendees that have become highly active members Projected Cost: $3050.00

Other • Other Student Competitions • Actively planning student competitions for January • Social Activities - $500 • Good recruiting tool • Allow members to meet each other in a more relaxed environment • Examples: Trinity Student Night, Texas State Engineering Organizations Bowling Night, End of Year BBQ • Marketing- $200 • Posters, Banners, Business Cards. • Used to promote the branch’s programs within the school • Community Service - $200 • More active with Future Cities • Partnering with local San Marcos schools to mentor in robotics

  7. Impact • Creates incentives for members • Expands undergraduate opportunities beyond the classroom • Promote networking, reach out to the CS department • Increases awareness about IEEE and CTS

Money • Past Year • CTS Funding $ 2800.00 • Travel Reimbursement $ 384.20 • Coming Year • Current funds $ 841.88 • Projected Expenditures $ 5,150.00 • CTS Funding Requested: $ 1000.00 • Will integrate with student fundraising and departmental help to cover expenses. • Members will not have to pay out of pocket for IEEE events such as the R5 Conference.
