  4. Kansas Course Codes • Process • Spring 2008 - Kansas Committee Selection • 25 member committee representing 21 districts across the state • March 5, 2008 - first meeting of the committee • August 2008 - Final KCC Schema approval by KCC committee

  7. Kansas Course Codes Timeline for Implementation • Fall 2008 – Mock Sample of KCC on the Licensed Personnel Report • Winter 2008/Spring 2009 – Work with SIS Vendors

  8. Kansas Course Codes Timeline for Implementation • March 2009 – Develop Mapping Tool • April/May 2009 – Complete Mapping Tool • June – Pilot Mapping Tool

  9. Kansas Course Codes Timeline for Implementation • June – Develop training on mapping tool for districts • June/July 2009 – Request Superintendents to let us know if district would do their mapping or if they wanted KSDE to do their mapping

  10. Kansas Course Codes Timeline for Implementation • July - November 2009 – Train district Personnel on mapping tool and districts begin mapping local courses to KCC • July 2009 – December 2009 – All districts map local courses to KCC

  11. Kansas Course Codes Timeline for Implementation • October, 2009 - License Personnel Report opens for schools Note - - Districts will not be able to complete their License Personnel Report if they have not mapped their courses to the Kansas Course Codes

  12. Kansas Course Codes District Mapping Procedures • Register for the KCC Management System • Upload Files • Map Courses • Edit • Modify • Add • Export • Superintendent Sends Assurance Letter (Local Mapped)

Kansas Course Codes KSDE Maps for Districts - Procedures • Register for the KCC Management System • Identify a Point of Contact • Upload Files • KSDE Maps Courses • District Review Map for Accuracy • District Completes Schema on KCCMS • District Exports File to Local SIS • Superintendent Sends Assurance Letter (KSDE Mapped)
