  2. Magellan’s Route In 1505 Magellan sailed 5 ships (with Trinidad in the lead August 10, 1519) and went west instead of east. He went under the tip of Africa, through the Phillippines, and under the South American tip.

  3. Spain Ferdinad was born in Southern Spain in October 12,1492. as a boy he studied map making and navagation . His parents were members of a Portuguese novelty. when he was just 10, he was a page for the queen!

  4. Information • As a young man Magellan was in the East India service • He died in the Philippines April 27 1521 • Magellan experienced his first war at the Arabian sea with the Egyptians in the Battle Of Dui .
