Treaty of Kanagawa • Established in March 31, 1854 • Japan opened two ports for American ships • Also let America set up an embassy in Japan • After America started trade other countries followed, Japan granted foreigners permission for trade at new made trade ports
Russo-Japanese • With everyone think China would with Japans victory surprising all • Russia and Japan went to war about Manchuria soon after • Japan won the war and tough battles • After the brutal war Japan and Russia signed a peace treaty
