  2. Definitions • The Excretory System is a passive biological system that removes excess, unnecessary, or even dangerous materials from the human body.

  3. organs • Kidneys, Urinary Bladder, Ureters, Urethra, Large Intestine, Small Intestine, Rectum, Pancreas, Liver, Pharynx, Trachea, Salivary Glands, Gallbladder, Stomach, Epiglottis, Diaphragm, Esophagus, and the Capillaries.

  4. organ Systems that interacts with it • Respiratory system, Endocrine system, and the Digestive system

  5. Respiratory • The Excretory System rids the Respiratory System of harmful gases and carbon dioxide.

  6. Endocrine • The Endocrine System has glands from the Excretory System to rid the body of wastes.

  7. Digestive • Excretory System works with the Digestive System to help get rid of solids and liquids taken in and removed via the anus.

  8. Process • Blood arrives in kidney from renal artery, which splits into many different arterioles. Where wastes are taken out of the blood by pressure filtration. The renal pelvis takes urine away from the kidney via the ureter. Both of the ureters lead the urine into the body’s only urinary bladder, which expands and sends nerve impulses when full. From there, urine is expelled through the urethra and out of the body.
